Air France introduces mobile phone services

Paris: Air French Republic have launched the first mobile telephone services on international flights in a move that volition let riders to utilize their cyberspace enabled laptop computers to direct and have SMS, millimeters and e-mail, the air hose said Thursday.

Currently, only Australia's Qantas air hose have a similar service that is offered strictly on domestic flights.

The service to be operated on a six-month experiment footing is to be rolled out on a single Air French Republic plane, an Airbus A318.

"Passengers will only be informed of the being of the service after boarding the plane," company spokesman Marina Tymen said.

"Qantas is currently experimenting with usage of mobile voice phone calls on domestic flights and the feedback from clients is not so encouraging as many are complaining of being irritated by the noise of others," one air traveling adviser was quoted as saying.

The first Air French Republic commercial flight to begin e-mail services was a flight from City Of Light to Warsaw, Poland, Monday and business community on board expressed pleasance "to have got managed to derive about one hr and a one-half workings clip thanks to the new service," said Tymen.
