Taleban issue mobile phone threat
The Taleban have got threatened to blow up telephone set masts across Islamic State Of Afghanistan unless mobile telephone companies hold to switch over off their signalings at night.
They state that United States and other foreign military personnel are using the signalings to track down insurgents.
The Taleban have got warned the masts and business offices of the mobile companies will be destroyed unless their demands are met. Mobiles were introduced after the Taleban drop in 2001 and are now the
most popular manner of communicating.
''If those companies make not halt their signaling within three days, the Taleban will aim their towers and their offices," Taleban spokesman Zabiullah Mujaheed said.
The Taleban state that Afghanistan's four mobile telephone companies should halt operating between 1700 local clip and 0300 the followers morning.
Militants have got threatened the companies in the past, accusing them of colluding with the United States and other forces.
But communicating experts state the United States armed forces utilizes artificial satellites to pick up mobile signalings and makes not necessitate the aid of the telephone companies anyway.
